Map Boundary Conventions

Maps on this platform show the 54 African Union member states recognised by the United Nations. Country and sub-national boundaries are derived from Natural Earth (public domain), using the Morocco point-of-view variant. The territory administered by Morocco and referred to in other contexts as Western Sahara is shown as part of Morocco under the name Moroccan Sahara, consistent with the ADAFP documentation conventions. Boundaries are shown for reference only and do not imply any position on territorial disputes.
